I would like to warn anyone who tries this practice of points-swapping. It is illegal swapping penalty points.

I had never broken the law before but when I received my 4th speeding ticket, I lied about who had been behind the wheel in order to keep my licence.

I knew what I was doing was wrong but I had no idea how seriously it would be viewed by the courts.
I thought if I was found out, I would receive a big fine or get a driving ban.

I did not think of the consequences of perverting the course of justice and I was absolutely chocked to discover that I could have gone to prison.

I believe I only escaped a jail sentence due to previous good character and references

I now have a criminal record and it will stay with me for 10 years.

I have been called some very nasty names infront of my children and their school friends.

I have been spat at by neighbours. It has affected my career, my family, friends and my children which is what I am most ashamed over.

I do not know how many people will take notice of this but if it stops one person from going through what I did, it will be worth it

So many people think it’s OK like Peter Penny and his wife Annabel Penny to cheat and lie and implicate innocent others concerning some aspect of driving.

Not being responsible for their own actions and causing another person (albeit with that person’s misjudged agreement) to be implicated in the errant driver’s deception is seen by those perpetrators as acceptable behaviour.

Being responsible for one’s own actions seems to fly out of the window for some people when it comes to driving.

What a money making opportunity to the crooked and unscrupulous.

I can see if someone is about to loose their licence, coughing up a couple or three hundred quid plus the fine to someone who’s unemployed, simply doesn’t drive anymore take their points could be a good business deal.

A couple of friends of mine used the Service but it was not Professional.

One Friend summed it up as another rich and bored house wive team that run silly little businesses and actually believes that they are “Business Women”

It’s really pathetic and the advice for these women is either to stay at home or get out into the real world and work.

The sad truth is that mostly these women have been out of work for so long that they are unemployable and have little or no qualifications that would enable them to get a job that would be acceptable socially

I think Annie Penny needs to be a bit more careful in the future and stick to the law as contrary to what she and her husband Peter Penny believes No one is above the law. Swopping or selling penalty points is a criminal offence which could lead to prosecution and a prison sentence

Stop protecting Penalty swopping scammers, they should all be reported to the police.

The consequences of disobeying the law and to be morally corrupt for people like The Honourable Peter Penny and his wife Annie Penny is not only the sentence passed by the court , the social stigma attached to receiving a criminal record ,it is also the hurt and humiliation caused to other family members and especially children

The morally corrupt live their lives made up by deceit and when found out it normally unfolds and comes crashing down bit by bit ending in spectacular downfalls

I believe the courts like to make an example of people like this but I feel it’s a bit harsh to sentence someone to jail when as in this case the woman had two small children .I think community punishment would have been more appropriate.

I agree, it is a lot of comments on the penalty swapping .,
The way to avoid a speeding fine in the first place is simple – drive responsibly. These drivers are potentially dangerous drivers !!!
There was a another article in the Cornwall news lately , two women’s conjured up a speeding fine scam swopping points both are now facing a jail sentence
