The image below is a scan of a document that was part of a loan application. It was submitted to Lloyds TSB by Peter Penny for Morton Medical to obtain a DTI small firms loan using the government guarantee scheme. The loan was for £60,000.
The information is misleading. Peter Penny has never been a majority shareholder of the company. His shareholding has always been and still is 25% through one of his other companies Staveley Group Ltd.
Peter Penny also claims that “is responsible for recruiting and managing the team and developing the strategy for the expansion of the company”. This claim is incorrect. Peter Penny has never taken active part in running the company apart from the occasional visits to the companies offices. He was active in remotely accessed the companies Sage accounts software package doing various transactions.

A very interesting web site regarding the Honourable Peter Penny
It seems unconceivable that he is able to continue with his dodgy business dealings without getting into serious trouble
I once gave him the advice to stop playing entrepreneur and get a job, which did not go down too well
He has never been able to start up anything by himself and has always had small stakes in different companies, which he then tries to get his hands on one way or another
He has never and will never be an entrepreneur, he simply has no skills to drive a business forward (except that he quite good at bookkeeping , which If I remember correctly was his position when we meet)
I know that he has a chip on his shoulder as he is the only one in his family that has not succeeded in life and perhaps that is the reason behind such appalling behaviour.

He found himself in a situation where he needed more working capital and was introduced to the Honourable Peter Penny, who through one of his “investment Companies “helped to finance the company
To cut a long story short the decent guy lost everything, his business, his health and his marriage- all down to The Honourable Peter Penny who specialises in financing start up companies which he takes a small stake in, he then will do whatever it takes to get control of the company
